Therapy
Therapy puts an emphasis on mental health and action. If you are struggling with motivation, anxiety, or depression alongside your ADHD diagnosis, the key will be to reveal some of those internal barriers and create strategies for execution in your everyday life.
- I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioral Analysis Strategies. I have found this is the best combination to help you work through internal barriers while creating movement in your daily life.
- ACT emphasizes the important of slowing down and connecting with your present moment, working towards the willingness to let uncomfortable thoughts and feelings exist with a focus on values and action in your life.
